::The gardens are amazing! We went there with a coffee in mind but the house was closed at the time, it is only open duribg Summer. The kids spend the time running around, very well maintained with beautiful and unique threes. I looking forward to going there next summer and visit the house that many people says it's beautiful inside. The parking space it's the same used for Fota wildlife visitets and it costs 3€.

::Stunning Regency Mansion built 1820, surrounded by gorgeous gardens and an arboretum. You can do tours of the house and the frame yard and there is a very nice cafe there. Be aware of the €3 exit fee when you leave the car park and only coins are accepted. The house tour takes about one hour where you get to see at least 12 rooms and hear the colourful story of The Smith Barry family who lived in the house until 1975

::The outside of Fota House itself is okay, we didn't do the tour. But the gardens are absolutely spectacular and well worth a visit or even a place to have a quiet picnic, especially as entry is free. You can bring your dog as long as your dog is leashed. Even if you aren't so big into gardens, It's just a really nice place, and barely a 15 minute train ride from Cork.
