This is an ok letting agency. They tended to be slow to respond to emails regarding repairs needed and other such matters occurring during our tenancy. Perhaps there was some lag due to awaiting approval with the landlord himself. However, they were quite quick to use €200 of our security deposit to clean the place (even though we had it broom swept clean before we left, they said that the dust and the standard of cleaning was unacceptable). They even expected us to clean the oven before we left as well! Admittedly, we did leave a few non-perishable foods and ingredients in the fridge and kitchen cabinet for the next tenants (who we personally knew and made this agreement with). From what I hear this sort of thing is the modus operandi of rental agencies here. If you're using them make sure you clean like your €200 depends on it before you leave! haha!

Fantastic agency - James is super to deal with - so efficient and no time wasting. Great office staff - so professional and always in the loop as to who is who and what's going on.. Aine O'Connor - Applejacks

Glad to be rid of them. Fraught from start to finish. Right at the beginning, I told them they hadn't given me a front door key. I was told I didn't need one - the door was always open. That very night, I returned from the grocery store to find it locked. I had to take my groceries and trawl Dublin city centre looking for a place for the night. I'm a diabetic and I couldn't get my meds. I was a wreck the next morning when I got to their office. Then after I'd had a burglary, I expressed concern that people in the next building were using my balcony to get in their kitchen window and I got a pert reply from one of Galvin's managers saying I could hardly expect her to talk to my neighbours. When I replied the correct response would have been to suggest inspecting the security of my balcony door, she replied she didn't like my tone. After that, I was driven from bed at 7am on a Saturday morning because she'd sent a maintenance guy round with a power-drill - on the other side of my bedroom wall. They hit me for a cleaning bill after I left to clean up the mould in the place they'd rented me. I was so relieved to be rid I didn't even argue mould was a structural problem and I shouldn't be paying for its removal.
