Plenty of history here. I haven't done the tour but there are a lot of famous Irish people buried here. If you make your way right from the main gate and follow to path you will find an older gate with a great old fashioned pub outside, does great food and it's a nice stop off if you like to wander.

Such an historic and beautiful graveyard. One million Dubliners lie here. Steeped in rich history and drama. There are many stories to find out as you tour the graveyard with a tour guide, which is recommended. Many famous people buried here, like Luke Kelly or Michael Collins etc. They have a museum and cafe too, which is modern and comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyable. 5/5*

They really have done a great job with this cemetery. However, charging €3.50 for the worse map I've ever seen is beyond a joke. The map didn't even have the entire cemetery on it. Plus it didn't have much info or graves of interest on it. The tour it's self is great. That's well worth the price of a ticket and if you're going, you really should do the tour.

The historic people that is buried here is really interesting. For someone that wants to know a bit more about important people in Irish history, do come here. There is some interesting and controversial people that was buried here. Very attentive and passionate tour guides. I like the small shop here to buy a few things. Arranged for a meal here for our tour here too.

There have been many very positive changes to Glasnevin cemetery over the past few years. The cemetery tour is superb with the brilliant guides making it really interesting. The museum is a great addition and the renovations being carried out to old headstones a credit to the people involved
