Food was a bit lack-lustre, not entirely what I was expecting from a 5 star hotel. Extremely friendly staff though who would honestly give you their left arm if you needed it. The Nespresso machine in every room was a very very nice touch. Definitely the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in!

We decided to book his hotel for a special occasion and have returned after a two night stay. We have stayed at many hotels over the past 25 years- for us, this was the best we have ever stayed at. From the rooms, to the staff, to the food and ambience - we were overwhelmed by the extremely high standards . It was such a joy to spend time here. We are really looking forward to a return visit soon.

Beautiful location with amazing sunrises. Attentive and accommodating staff. The food was really good, but not absolutely amazing (except for the desserts). Would recommend to anyone staying in Galway.

The perfect break away from the Christmas hustle. We had afternoon tea here with such a beautiful atmosphere. My French in laws loved it, the whole setting from the pianist in the background to the friendly and attentive staff. The tea itself was magnificent. The scones we're so fresh. They even loved the pate in brioche!!! I love the local produce on the menu. It's really excellent value for money when compared with other Afternoon tea. We we're really full afterwards. It's really the perfect setting to have great conversation over light food, but filling all the same. Everyone enjoyed the visit, the house, it's surroundings and of course the Orient Express carriages. We will definitely be back.

I stayed at the Abbey View Bed and Breakfast across the street from the hotel. I ate dinner at the Oak Cellar Bar for six nights. The staff that worked in the bar were great and I had wonderful service. I got to know few of the staff over the six nights there. The food was great. The atmosphere in the bar was wonderful. I hope to stay at the hotel my next visit to Galway.
