  We found Alan through online research. We liked the portfolio of Alan’s work showcased on his Green Shoots Garden Design website, especially his urban/small garden work, which reflected our vision for our garden. We wanted an elegant and beautiful space that we would enjoy all year round, and also had to be a practical design to absorb the rigours of family life. On a budget! With his design, Alan took a plot of grass and created a multi-purpose garden that has quickly become an ‘outdoor extension’ we can use for all four seasons. Alan is thoughtful, committed, and very professional to deal with. When creating our garden design, he stuck to our brief when needed, while also making excellent suggestions to help bring it to another level. In my view Alan is particularly strong on planting and garden colour palette. His attention to detail is second-to-none, which you’ll appreciate if you every observe him carefully arranging the plants you’ve chosen. Garden design and development can be a significant investment, and it’s critical to choose a designer who cares about the work as much as you do. Going with Green Shoots Garden Design was great decision and we were delighted with the service provided by Alan.
