::I had been a customer of this dental surgery for a few years. I suffer from Gran Mal seizures from Epilepsy so i recieve treatment from the medical card. After a filling came out due to an attack over Christmas i returned to the dentist to have it replaced. I was lied to about my eligibility for the filling(i can only assume to pressure me into paying directly, but i cant work because of my epilepsy and couldnt pay). To which the dentist told me that if id saved my money from smoking(1 pack a week) id be able to pay. They said that unless i paid i wouldnt receive anything. She then repeatedly tried to tell me how much effort they go to get me a free clean each year by sending a pre written mail. So they get paid by the medical card. I was extremely frustrated by how i was treated and left with a huge hole in my tooth. I went to another dentist who immediately filled my tooth and noticed a second that was needed. Both paid for by the health board. This kind of dentistry and treatment is unacceptable. When i received a message from the receptionist that they'd 'been approved for the filling' i called back and when i tried to relay my disappointment the receptionist/dental nurse promptly hung up saying i was just off on one. I would not reccomend this surgery to anyone. While the dentisys manner had always struck me as cold i had never thought i woyld be disrespected and plainly lied to. The nurses manner after i called back only leads me to believe that this is standard practice. Really really disappointing. Bad service and manners.
