::One of the best museums I've ever visited. Got to ride in a tank through some mud which was amazing. So much stuff and our tour guide was so informative. He had been to the battlefields and collected stuff himself. Even if you're not well informed of the war you will find it very enjoyable and interesting. You get to hold guns (some are extremely heavy). It's a true war museum full of passionate and well informed guides. Recommended for all ages.

::Visited with friends. Spent the morning tank driving which was epic fun. Bill, the tank instructor is knowledgeable, skilled, entertaining and professional. We went for a stroll around the museum afterward. It has a surprisingly good collection of military uniforms, kit, armaments and vehicles. Staff were all friendly. Will be back.

::What an AMAZING place! One of the hidden gems of military collections in the country. Really surprised at the breath on display. Far from a shed in the countryside, there is a high quality line up of WW I, WW II and more modern military vehicles, weapons and uniforms. I also got the pleasure of driving a tank which was a wonderful experience. The guided tour of the museum is excellent with knowledgeable guides. One of the most unique aspects of this museum is the hands on experience of holding weapons of all shapes and sizes. You can really get a feel with the large range of deactivated authentic guns on show, and even have the guides explain how they operate! I would honestly recommend this for anyone with an interest in military history.

::Visited the Irish War Museum with friends on Saturday 13th January. We were pleasantly surprised as soon as we entered the building to be able to have hands on experience straight away, in holding and finding out how the rifles and various types of ammunition worked. The entrance fee of €10 per adult was excellent value. Our guide Fergus was extremely knowledgeable on every aspect of the History of the various wars, and passionate about the artifacts in the museum. We were allowed to hold various weapons and were told in great detail the story behind each item. We were amazed at our guides attention and passion to detail, and amusing us as well as stirring a sense of horror as to the grim reality of such conflicts. The uniforms and displays of tanks, jeeps and bunkers are a visual treat for those with an interest in war history. William the owner whom we also met on our visit was friendly and chatted to us about the purchases and anecdotes about bringing some of the tanks through customs! All in all we would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this museum. Just one word of note though, is it is VERY cold inside the museum so layer up. A tea/coffee machine and snacks are available in the entrance. Overall view, an enthralling experience. Would definitely return.
