::My daughter is attending on a year abroad, from her American based University in Allentown, PA. She really likes the whole experience, and the living arrangements. I went and helped her get settled and was very impressed with the physical facility. The challenge is the limited selection of courses. It is a teacher training based college, and it has virtually no science, and very limited social science outside of psychology. Technology is very basic, and no courses of any depth are offered in technology, outside of A/V type. Limerick University is affiliated, but not very close at all. So for a semester abroad, and the experience it is a good place. If you are an education major, it is probably a wonderful place. For most other majors, you will probably need to seriously supplement with online distance education courses to make it worth the time. Ireland of course if a wonderful place to visit and experience its charm and its perspectives on the world. For other university experiences, check Univ. of Limerick, Galway, and of course Trinity in Dublin is a world class program.
