  Had my first gluten free traditional irish stew here! This is one particular place worth a visit and a beer! We had dinner in the basement and everyone enjoyed the food. It's like going down back to 1200, worth even just to visit. The bar is cozy and traditional, with a classic and even a med twist. Will come again!

  Lovely cosy pub, smaller than it looks from the outside but has a nice garden area so it all works out in the end. The pub has a great history that you can find out about in different history locations around the city but originally used to be a home. The staff were lovely and not only did they have a good selection of Gins but there was a Gin menu and a special on mid week which was a nice touch and my Gin was prepared really well. As for food, we never ate there but it smelled very good and all looked great, we were there mid week and the place was quite busy which is a good sign. I'll be going back next time I'm in Kilkenny.

  Friendly service, good food, and cozy atmosphere define this fantastic pub. The fish and chips are great. Lightly breaded and not at all greasy, I thoroughly enjoyed the fish. Others in the group ordered bangers and mash, which looked like another good choice. Great visit overall and highly recommend to anyone in the area.

  Where do I begin? We had our wedding after party here. The atmosphere is great, live music, vaulted basement where our party dined and drank for hours! The staff was so awesome taking care of us all especially Carl and Maggie! Thank you so much for an epic night, we won't forget it!!
