  Lough Owel is the home of Mullingar Sailing Club; a small friendly dinghy club on the shore of the lake. It is one of only three inland sailing clubs in Ireland.

  Lovely stop on the way to north roscommon! I think it would be great to know when the trains are passing underneath the bridge. I would only advise this stop as it is scenic but there is little to do.
