::Coosan Point is a quiet and beautiful spot on the inner lakes of Lough Ree and the Lough Ree Inn is a true gem over looking the lake and definitely worth a visit if you are in the vicinity. The place is spotless and the owners are extremely friendly and cannot do enough for visitors. Food is generally only available at weekends but they have a full collection of menus from take-aways in Athlone, all who will deliver within about half an hour. Prices are great, as are the facilities. We visited by cruiser and the Lough Ree Inn is situated about 100 metres away from the moorings at Coosan Point. Absolutely loved our visit.

::Situated at Coosan Point facing Lough Ree the bar has an exceptional view. Its a very busy place with a good line of drinks and food. The staff is very courteous.

::Lakeside location with views of lake from inside bar or outside in the beer garden. Nice place to visit with a good pint and a tasty portion of nuts served free. They also serve food. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
