  The Maltings is in a lovely location beside the river. The rooms are large and clean. The manager is very welcoming. They have Very comfortable beds. The breakfast was excellent.

  Before I arrived at the Maltings I wanted to be sure that they were able to cater for my vegan requirements. So I telephoned and spoke to Maeve (the owner). She assured me that they could provide vegan food. I couldn't have asked for more. Breakfast was a feast of fresh fruit and plenty of dairy free alternatives to milk and yogurt. Cooked breakfast was also available, but after all that lovely fruit, I only had space for beans on toast! I would highly recommend The Maltings to anyone visiting Birr. It is clean warm friendly and great value. I shall return to The Maltings on my next trip for sure. Thank you, Nuala.
