  Unfortunately closing down. Lots of components and accessories here that you cannot get in other stores.

  I order 1 stick of 8gb Ram and five weeks later i had to give up. the staff in store were excellent but I later found out it took them a full week to even order the ram from supplier. Unless they have it in stock do yourself a favor don't order from Maplin

  Knowledgeable staff, very helpful. But could be little bit pricey for stuff you would expect to pay lot less.

  Maplins used to be the goto place for anything electrical/electronic. Many a time that unusual cable or some piece of kit needed to finish a project. However over the last ten years it has become evcer more pricey. To the point most places including high street retailers beat them. Also advent of Internet shopping has shown their prices for what they are. Only positive is at least you can go in and ask someone questions. They really need to look at their price points or they will be gone
