::The first public library in Dublin. It looks nice, small and the staff is friendly. There is an entrance fee.

::The first 'public' library in Dublin, Marsh's still has it's book cages (you were locked in with a book) and almost medieval ambiance. Visit Marsh's for a trip back in time ... you will be more than pleased , Great volounteers who are more than willing to tell you the history behind the place .

::Great little library with quite a bit of history to it, worth a visit if you are around. We got to visit it when it was almost empty which was fun. The staff here are very friendly.

::A very unique and historic library, well worth visiting!! Our cathedral tour guide recommended it, as it's tucked away just behind the cathedral and is like "stepping into the past". The library also had two interesting exhibitions on War poetry and book thieves when we visited. Very much worth the €3 entry fee (€2 for students).

::We were lucky to visit it almost completely empty and it was amazing! The library is beautiful and the books are simply gorgeous. And I have to mention that the employees were one of the nicest people we encountered during our visit to Dublin! This place was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!
