::This place is worth a visit. Large Celtic crosses and round tower.

::An absolute must to visit. These crosses are not only iconic, but also an extremely important and interesting part of Irish history. I would recommend coming with a guide, as there is a lot of depth and history to the crosses, and cemetery, which you won’t learn without a guide.

::Gorgeous collection of three High crosses and a round tower, in the countryside near Drogheda, about 30-40 minutes north of Dublin.

::A place full of history, very picturesque. You can spend hours here even if it is just ruins of former monastery and houses. You get all the information about the buildings you need at the edge of the site.
Adrian van Breda
::Two magnificent high crosses to be found here. There are wonderful crosses at Kells, but that is some distance from the motorway. If you're just travelling down the A1, Monasterboice is no more than 5 minutes off the road. There is no charge to go in. So, add an extra 15 minutes to your trip and visit this wonderful site.
