::Ok to deal with but their incompetence at one point cost me 70e. I was advised to pay stamp duty "at my earliest convenience". The email was sent to an account that i was not using for most of the comms with the solicitor so i didnt even pick up on the email. 2 weeks after the original email, i receive and email from the solicitor saying that the deadline for paying the stamp duty had now passed and that i would have to pay another 70e. The funny thing is, that the most annoying part of that particular experience isnt the fact that i had to incur the extra charge, its the fact that there wasnt any acknowledgement from them to say that they should have informed me of deadline dates/penalty for paying it late, or that if they werent to inform me of the deadline date that they should have had a diary reminder to chase me to then inform me of the impending deadline and surcharge i would have to pay, the tone of their correspondence was unacceptable given that 70e is alot of money these days. After being told to pay it "at the earliest convenience" i was then told 2 weeks later that the deadline had now passed and that i would have to pay another 70e. When i raised what happened it was brushed aside.
