::Great traditional bar, lots of locals, fabulous Irish drinking songs and traditional tunes. We had a fabulous time. The performers just sit amongst you in the seats and when they found out my friend and I were guitarists, they demanded we sing a few songs! What an experience!

::We stayed in a triple room for a few nights. For us it was fine, though if your looking for a quiet early night it's probably not for you. As far as the pub is concerned it's one of my favourites. Great character.

::We seem to hit this pub every time we're out around St Stephen's Green for working dinners. The old outside alley area that's now covered is my favorite section since it's a bit quieter and it's heated in the winter from various overhead units, making it warm almost to the sidewalk. And the locals always say this place pours one of the better pints of Guinness in town. Tastes good to me :) I've never ordered food, so I can't speak to that, but there's usually room to get in and get a pint and quiet enough to talk to friends.

::The bartender told me the pub was 230 years old. It's a Dublin staple that every tourist has to try once. Other than that, it was just another pub in Dublin. I was there on a Friday night. It was so crowded you could barely move and so loud I couldn't hear the people I was talking to. You're probably better off finding another pub. There are plenty that are lively without being cramped. Unless of course you are dead set on trying all the touristy stuff.
