  I came over to Dublin with my family from the midlands UK to bring our fathers ashes Patrick Scully . my father patrick told us many years ago that he was born in Gloucester st in 1919 a few houses away from this church a tin shed as he said . and always talked about the guy in chains not knowing his name outside the church when he was a young lad growing up in dublin . so when we came to the renamed street and to find the new magnificent church it was a lovely surprise .. but then to find that our father patrick was baptised in this very church and not realising that our past family would have gone to mass there was very moving . thankyou so much to the lovely helpfull lady in charge that found our fathers baptism records , it is a journey that we will never forget xx
