  Part of it was closed down for renovations but we enjoyed it none the less

  I visited there accidentally, and no plan. Although it was rainy and cold, I got warmth by the great staff welcome and explanation. Do not miss the opportunity to watch the movie if you are visiting Sligo for the first time. You will get overwhelming idea about the region history in minutes. Castle is wonderful, and nice. Surely i visit again after renovation work finish.

  We decided to visit the castle spontaneously and were not disappointed. We joined a tour that was very interesting and amusing. Charming staff and exhibition.

  It looks awesome. Unfortunately we visited in late March and they weren't open yet. But got some pics of the outside.
