::The place looks really cool/nice. Great for a break from shopping in The Lillac. Staff very friendly and helpful. Huge choice of pastries and cakes. Didn’t have any food here. Definitely will come back.

::Went in today for a pot of tea for 2 and 2 cakes. The tea was weak, you could not eat the cake. I had two small pieces and had to abandoned it. It was also far too expensive. In the end I had to go to another place to get something to eat.

::Stopped for tea and a scone yesterday afternoon after being in Patisserie Valerie in Belfast and Newcastle Upon Tyne. I had an altogether totally different experience in this branch. I ordered tea and a fruit scone with clotted cream and jam. They told me they only had plain or cherry scones and no clotted cream so I went for the cherry scone with whipped cream. I asked for the scone to be heated. There were a couple of issues. The tea was quite weak and they served it with a very small amount of milk. The scone was Luke warm on one side and fridge cold on the other. When I informed the waiter he took it away and brought it back warm, but totally flattened. They had put it in the sandwich press to heat it up and it was as flat as a toastie. It still tasted the same though. I did give the waitress my feedback when I was leaving. When I was paying with a waitress at the till, there was a woman (who I would assume was one of the managers) hovering around behind her back watching what she was doing and pointing out to her in quite an abrupt way what she was doing wrong and then went off and made a bit of a scene with the rest of the staff because they couldn't find my table. A little bit embarrassing. The waiting staff were lovely and very friendly. Just a pity they are being let down by management and the people preparing the food.
