  In July 2017, I had LASEK eye surgery with Paul O’Brien. What I appreciated and valued most about Paul was that during the two consultations I had before the surgery, he never once put me under any pressure to have the surgery – he advised me that I was a good candidate but that it was ultimately my decision to make. It took me a while to come around to the idea but having had the surgery and knowing how well it all went and how great the outcome was, I can’t recommend it enough. The surgical team were warm and friendly and put me completely at ease on the day. The surgery itself is exactly how it is described – quick and painless. LASEK has a slower healing time than LASIK but Paul had me fully prepared for what I could expect in the days after surgery and everything went very smoothly. Paul is extremely professional and patient-focused and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

  I had laser eye surgery with Mr O Brien in November. The whole process from start to finish was fantastic. Mr O Brien is a gent and made me feel very comfortable about the surgery from the initial consultation. All the staff in Blackrock clinic were very easy to deal with and very helpful. The surgery is relatively painless, the recovery period for me was around 2-3 weeks with the only hinderence being the dryness. That thankfully is perfect and now I have better than 20:20 vision from being -2.5 in both eyes. I feel attending the Blackrock clinic and paying a bit extra than the 'chain' laser surgery clinics is well worth it. The follow ups were also covered in the initial cost and they were down the phone if I had any queries.

  I got corrective eye surgery in this clinic. I've been very satisfied with the results. I would strongly recommend Mr O'Brien.
