Went to the advertised opening Christmas sale in early November to take advantage of supposed 20% off sale. Purchased 3 CDs with a regular price of ā‚¬5 per or 3 for ā‚¬12. When we asked about the 20% off as the cash register seemed to be charging 5ā‚¬ for each CD, the cashier vaguely said ā€œoh the fella who wrote the software took it all into accountā€ leaving us with the distinct feeling that she didnā€™t know what the hell she was talking about...and really couldnā€™t care less about customer service. When we got home, we discovered when going through our purchases more carefully that not only had she only put two of the three CDs in the bag but the receipt did indeed show that the 20% was taken off of ā‚¬15 and not ā‚¬12. So back we go with a 40 drive each way to pick up the CD that dimwit didnā€™t put in the bag. When we brought up the failure to give 20% of the regularly advertised price, she vehemently insisted that it was already a special discounted price at ā‚¬12 so the 20% sale didnā€™t apply and refused to make any adjustments...for the ā‚¬2.40 difference you would think that she might have been interested in keeping a potential repeat customer...particulalrly one who had to drive an extra hour and a half because of her employees error...but obviously not worth her effort. Give the place a miss for their deceptive advertising... Visited last Spring as well, didnā€™t buy any plants then due to poor quality....roses infested with aphids...buyer beware.

Excellent garden centre. Lovely location and a great place to find a chic gift or present.

I visited Powerscourt Gardens last Saturday, May 13th, The gardens are so beautiful but I have to say that I had a really bad experience when visiting the : "CHILDHOOD MEMORIES EXEBETION " I was in my own world looking at the christening robes when a very RUDE WOMEN, tapped me on the shoulder, and very loudly said," You have to pay to come in here". ., and pushed me towards the door. I was in total shock and explained that I didn't realize that you had to pay, and left, She then followed me out of the shop and I really felt like a criminal. There was nobody around to say that you had to pay to go in, and of course had there been, that was no problem whatsoever, I had stayed in the Powerscourt Hotel and decided to finish my lovely time there, with a visit to the gardens, I have to admit, that this bad experience ruined my time there, I hope that rude women, doesn't do to another human being, what she did to me, Kindest Regards, Mary Callaghan
