  Petty, leaches who cannot see the bigger picture, They will hound you for a couple of hundred euros and possibly drive you out of business for a sum as low as 1,000 euros. My advice if you live in MAYO DO NOT GET A VAT NUMBER and keep your sales below 75,000 euros a year. It has been my misfortune to deal with them on 2 occasions. I cannot stress enough how petty they are so if you are business minded set up in Dublin or London or Madrid or Rome or anywhere but Mayo.
