::****AWFUL***** we bought our kitchen from this company early this year. It was fitted but there were a few snags no big deal. However there was a disagreement over one particular issue which was I had ordered 3 pull out baskets for our larder press. When I enquiried about it I was told by the sales manager Declan that there was no hassle and he would get it sorted that week. About 3 months went by and I rang and emailed on a weekly basis or more. Emails were never replied to or acknowledged. Phone calls were brushed off. I was told it was getting sorted. Finally after 3 months Declan tells me that he had looked into my order and I hadn't actually ordered the baskets. I disagree still but the email I have confirming our order isn't that detailed so I accepted that I didn't have a leg to stand on. However my real gripe was that it took 3 months to get to that point. He kept just ignoring the issue. It was an unbelievable waste of effort on my part ringing and emailing every week. I was angry about this wasted time so posted an unfavourable review about 2 months ago. He then called me and asked me to take the review down because it was hurting business. I told him I stood by the review and had emails and phone call records to prove it. A compromise was reached. He offered to get me 3 of the pull out baskets in return for me withdrawing the negative review. I withdrew the review on good faith. Needless to say he said the baskets would be in in a week. That didn't happen. I rang again and the receptionist said she would pass on the message which again went unreplied. This went on for another few weeks. Finally I rang and told the receptionist if Declan didn't return my calls I would repost the review. The receptionist got extremely defensive and said that I was threatening which is shocking. Again, I never got a call back from Declan. I guess he was hoping I would just leave it. I know I won't be getting the baskets and I know it sounds like a small gripe, and in a way 3 baskets is a small gripe. Really the heart of the matter here is how unprofessional the sales people have been in this company, it was truly shocking. if you are going to deal with this company you should know that their sales people are unprofessional, the receptionist rude and if any issue arises you will have big trouble. I wish that I had paid the extra few euros and gone with a more reputable company than select design.
