  We had a very pleasant university student lead the walking tour of the abbey grounds. Great history and period architecture. Most interesting revelation during the tour was that the reason some of the doors look so "short" is because the ground level was raised up considerably as a result of burring so many who died during the famine on the grounds.

  We didn't get inside as the weather was not too good ... We could see it from outside and looks good

  Beautiful spot. Sadly we arrived to late to visit the ruins, but you can still enjoy them from outside.
