  I normally go to one of the sole trading opticians in town but decided to give Specsavers a go because, well they were cheap. Or so the propaganda implied. Free eye test, great. Free hearing test, great. Wow, two pairs of specs for just €89. This place is great. Wait what, the lenses are €165 for each pair? Hang on, those frames aren't included in the offer and those are out of stock? Oh yeah they're pretty close but they're €169, plus the €320 and would you like aftercare? Eh sorry I didn't hear you from this far out the door...

  I have only recently visited this store, so can only base my review on one visit. The store is located at Market Square in Dundalk. It has a vibrant look from the exterior, and similar inside. There are plenty of staff on hand, so although it was busy, I spent very little time waiting. This was my first eye test in many years, and I felt comfortable and we'll looked after through the entire process. What was most important, is that I also felt that they were not simply trying to sell me the most expensive deal they could. I ended up purchasing glasses here, and I would have no hesitation returning. It is important to note that the cost of frames can be quite different to the final cost of the glasses, depending on the options you choose.

  Great service. Friendly staff. Glasses were ready next day. Waiting area needs more seats!
