::Still great after all these years. Laid back, comfortable, great tunes and choice of craft beers.

::I love the Abbey tavern. It's a super duper cozy environment located just up the street from an impressive cathedral. We stumbled in one dark and stormy night after walking around Cork, simply looking for a warm seat with a frothy pint of local brew. I pushed the double doors open and was instantly greeted by a friendly smile from the bartender. Upon looking around, I noticed a wide age range, including college students from the nearby University College Cork, as well as a healthy 40-60's range. I took a seat next to the crackling fire and laid out my wet coat. Then I sauntered up to the bar and ordered my personal favorite, chieftain by Franciscan Well Brewery. I find the atmosphere is both peaceful and relaxing yet I can always find a conversation if needed. Highly recommended!

::Cosy, warm , inclusive with a nice atmosphere, good smoking room, courteous and friendly bar staff. A highly recommended visit if you ever come to Cork or if you need a good night out.

::One of my favourite bars in the city. Music is top notch and the staff are some of the friendliest in town. All the charm of an old school tavern but with a modern twist!
