My friends recently went in here on a Saturday evening about 7pm for drinks and some dinner. Some of my friends were already there waiting for them. For absolutely no apparent reason they were told they wouldn't be served and were asked to leave. Very strange altogether, I mean we're in our 40's and certainly not going to cause trouble. Anyway a very nice evening almost ruined due to the ignorance and bad manners of the staff... Don't bother spending your money here...!!!

Decent local place but lose the attitude! On a nice sunny Sunday, I went to meet two friends there to sit in the beer garden. However, as I was wearing long running shorts , I was asked to leave. Relaxing a little with local customers is usually a good way to win repeat business

Such a great bar! Really nice decor and the food is fab. Cocktails are yum, obviously have some very good barmen 😉 (dark hair with the beard in particular) Great addition to the area!

Utterly disgusted with how myself and my girlfriend were treated when we tried to dine in your establishment. We were shown to a table in the snug then as I was about to sit down “Bernard” one of your staff (doorman I think) barged in to where we were sitting and in an a very aggressive manner said “we won’t be serving either of you tonight, please leave”. Bear in mind this was in front of several other diners who were all now watching the event unfold. I actually thought it was a joke at first but it clearly wasn’t. I asked Bernard why were we being asked to leave, he said “please get out”. This was now in the main area of the restaurant at the entrance where there were even more onlookers. I repeatedly asked Bernard who was now joined by another staff member why he was kicking me out. He then said in a very aggressive tone. “Drop in to me during the week if you want to find out why?” I then asked him his name at this point. He Became aggressive and asked me “what’s your name?”. I gave him my full name and he told his colleague to “write that down”. I then gave his colleague my business card with contact details and asked him to have management ring me tomorrow. I would also like to add that this was only our second time visiting your restaurant. On the previous occasion we stayed for an hour one Friday evening, had 2 mains, 2 non alcoholic beers (as we were on dry January) and then left. Since then we have been waxing lyrical and recommending the service to all our friend and family. We were given no explanation as to why we were being treated like this. We were also adhering to their “dress code”. We have never felt so embarrassed in our whole lives because of the way we were treated in a very public way. Your staff publicly humiliated both of us and we were given no explanation as to why. You have my contact details. I expect an explanation and an apology tomorrow. I will be taking this further.

A spacious "old man's pub" type pub, mainly attracting thirty and forty somethings which is no bad thing. Strong door policy which, again, is great. The staff are friendly and, on the night we were there, were joking with us even though it was busy. Decor is lovely, place feels spacious. We had a lot of fun here. I'd recommend...
