  Sat at a table with dirty plates from the previous customer and totally ignored for 15 mins. Staff walking around a relatively quiet place. Left and no one seemed to care

  My favourite place to be. Favourite coffee, favorite scones, favorite breakfast. Simply one stop shop. Well at least this is how I call this place. Always great staff, always great service, and most importantly always great food.

  Fantastic ambience. First class coffee. Very good menu and excellent food. Best coffee shop in Tralee and possibly Kerry .

  Lovely food and service. Staff are very accommodating. Facilities are very clean. Will be back again.

  Today was my first time to The Bookshelf in Tralee, and while the food was lovely the service would not encourage me to go again. The waitress was rude and condescending (without reason to be) and gave the impression that waiting on people was beneath her. I asked what was in the Strawberry Smoothie and she didn't have a clue, just informed us that its bought in ready made. This should be indicated on the menu but she should still have been able to tell us what was in it. Twice she corrected one of our party on their pronunciation, even though they were correct, and when a third asked for hot chocolate made with coconut milk she was informed they didn't do it. I should say at this stage that the others in our party are frequent customers and have always had the coconut hot chocolate and the service was always excellent. This waitress needs training and needs to learn her menu. I cannot fault the food however it was delicious.
