  Was in Kilkenny for a short time on a tour and just wanted to seat in a quiet place and eat a decent meal. I got that at the Fig Tree. Lovely food and service.

  Came here at 4pm on Friday, ignored by first member of male staff, then seated it seems that they do not want anyone to come in towards closing time of 5pm, although we left before 5 felt rushed and they were all but sweeping under our feet to get us out. If I was the owner I would not be happy about this attitude towards customers. Food was nice though.
