  So much is really good, BUT one MAJOR disappointment. Overall this is a really good venue. Staff are excellent, friendly and professional. The food served at the party I attended was very good quality and plenty of it too. The major disappointment is having to inhale cigarette smoke on the second floor that comes wafting up from the covered smoking area below. I wonder if the management are somehow skirting around the law here? The smell of smoke was exceptionally strong ALL night. I arrived home with my clothes reeking of cigarette smoke. This is unacceptable given that there are laws that are supposed to protect the public (and staff) from unwanted smoke inhalation.

  Good night out, good food good music good place to watch a match. It's a good spot all round.

  I booked their roof top terrace for my girlfriends 30th and I can not speak higher of the staff who helped pull it all together. Every single person I delt with in The Jar from management to the bar staff were all unbelievably accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. There were 45 who attend the party and every person seemed to agree the food and venue was on another level! Couldn't reccomend this place any higher!

  Good service and pizza. One small thing- table tops in the back are made of some kind of metal that does not smell nice, and the smell is really strong, so take a seat where the table top is made of wood.

  The best way I can describe the Jar is "acceptably trendy" - it's not too much or too little of anything. They've got a good whiskey selection (which, I assume, is the reason for the name - there's whiskey in the Jar), and it's pricey but not crazy expensive. The decor is nice, and they had a live DJ who did some actual scratching, so the dancing was good. A solid 5/7.
