::I wouldn’t trust these guys and especially not their website at all!!! I paid for my Rega Planar 1 (€280) and I received booking confirmation. I then bought over €170 worth of vinyls on Amazon as part of a Christmas present for my partner. Five hours later, I received a call to say “We’re going to ruin your Christmas” they were actually out of stock and could not complete my purchase. I explained in the 5 hour time period they took to realize this, I bought complimentary goods online, which I won’t be able to refund before Christmas. They barely apologized and brushed off the responsibility, making out as if it was no big deal. They refused to accept the Amazon transaction was anything to do with them “separate transaction, different business” they said. But clearly I wouldn’t have bought vinyls without a turntables. I questioned whether they sold any in their store after 11am on Tuesday when I purchased it but I am awaiting clarification. I had to ask (because it was not being offered) would they be willing to give me a discount on next turntable up as a goodwill gesture (Rega Planar 2 - €425) and I was laughed at and told he would call me back and he would try source the RP1 - which I had allegedly already bought. He called back to say I would be given a 25% discount, then got confused and said “actually no that’s wrong €25 off” a €425 product, a 5% discount. This is a completely insulting amount considering the price of the product and the inconvenience The Listening Suite and website caused me. The phone call was passed between two men who call themselves Managing Directors of the company but their lack of professionalism says otherwise; It took two grown men to deal with one customer - a 24 year old woman. I now have to wait 4-5 working days over the Christmas period for the refund to go back onto my card before I can buy another one, which means I don’t stand much chance getting on before Christmas, so it will be January before the presents (of vinyls) can actually be used. I explained this to managing directors, they wouldn’t accept that as their problem. In an email to Jonathan following this, I then asked what time would suit either of them meet me in the store to discuss the situation, and the reply I got was “We have discussed everything relating to this matter by email and a full refund has been issued to you”. The lack of respect of consumer rights, lack of empathy, lack of acceptance of responsibility for the issue and the very poor levels of customer service skills make me question the professionalism of this business. I was also refunded without being asked for any credit card details so I would also question the level on privacy on the website, which never asked could they store my card details. They never tried to even keep me as a customer, they could have offered to give me a voucher and said they would call me as soon as one came in but they must be doing so well they don’t need to keep new customers. All in all - Terrible experience, bad attitude, and horrendous customer service, would not recommend!
