::The People’s Park in Waterford is located south of the city and is within walking distance of the city centre. This is the largest public park in The city at just over 16 acres. In 1857 the river was diverted and the marshland which covered this area was all drained to make way for the construction of the park. The old caretakers lodge is now a very nice café (try the cakes or the sausage rolls, all good) There are walking tracks, cycle tracks and a skateboard park and playground. A nice spot for a walk.
