  What a beautifully renovated boutique hotel right in the heart of Galway city! The girls at reception could not have been more helpful with recommendations of what to do and where to eat on a cold January day! Location could not be any more central yet modern funky rooms are an oasis to relax in! Highly recommended for a stay in the city of Tribes!

  If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. I booked a room well in advance of my arrival, which was in the middle of a much larger vacation. A few days before my reservation I was notified that my reservation was being canceled due to "permanent hotel closure." This seemed outrageous considering the hotel's website and several third party booking sites were still listing rooms available at the location. I was forced to scramble to find alternate accommodation in my target area and within my budget at the last minute and while in the middle of my vacation. Once I arrived in Galway and settled into my alternate hotel I marched my ass over to the Residence. Guess what - still in operation. I asked the receptionist about available rooms and lo and behold...rooms were available for the next several nights. I had been canceled and jerked around for absolutely no reason. This place is unprofessional and scheming and run by garbage people. My alternate hotel, by the way, was the Victoria just down the street and it was FANTASTIC. Definitely go with that one instead.

  It's in a perfect location to where you can walk right out on Quay (Key) Street to where all the bars and restaurants and partying are. However in the Heat Of Summer to get air circulation because obviously there's no air conditioner you open the windows.. the street empties from the Partiers about 3:30 a.m. and then trash pickup, seagulls, and the like come at 5:30 a.m so if you don't like sleep it's perfect. It's a really nice hotel but forget about sleeping in that place because you won't get any if you have a street room. Maybe it's different if you get one on the other side. Just bring earplugs
