  A great base for experiencing the bucolic delights of Birr. I stayed here for a night during the week, and it was quite quiet. The owner was very polite and happy to help with my questions about the area (and an excellent cook). The building is on the site of a retired dairy farm, which was interesting to look around (there are still some cattle in the surrounding fields). My room was spotless, had an en suite, and was exactly as appeared in the photos. It's worth getting up early to watch the sunrise!
