::Bought a 2006 vw Passat 1.9tdi from pat white motors on the long mile road for 6000 euro with 3 month warranty for engine and gearbox, drove it home to discover that there was a vibration/wobble/oscillation from under the seat, brought it back to them they had it for a total of 2 weeks said they put a new wire loom cleaned injectors, new fly wheel, they said that the alternator was bad So reconditioned it,told me it was 100% fixed.. got it back and it is worse then ever, wobble still in it, temp gauge not working, hot air not working, and car sounds really rough told him it was not fixed,he said I just have to live with it,and he was not putting anymore money into the car ...PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM PAT WHITE CARS ON THE LONG MILE ROAD DUBLIN OR HIS SALESMAN PAUL.

::i bought a ford mondeo from a so called reputable ford dealer in july 2013, the car was over 5 years old , i paid 10,000.euro for the car,the car was brought back to this garage a total of 5 times the first time was for a strut mount to be replaced the second time was for to have the diesel feed pipe to the tank to be repaired due to diesel pouring from this pipe onto the forecourt of every garage i visited, the third time was for drop links to be replaced, the the fourth time was to have drop links to be replaced yet again, this all happened within the 12 month warrenty that the dealer gave me,possibley the only piece of luck i was to have with this car, the fourth time the car refused to start and i was getting the immobiliser signal on my dash, had the car towed to the dealer,i since found out that it was not the immobliser, but a dead battery, which the dealer fitted a new battary at a cost of 399.60 euro. figure that one,the fifth time was the [coup de grath]as i was driving the timeing belt snapped as you can imagine the engine was kaput. i had the car towed over to the dealer to have it accesed they told me to replace the engine it would cost me €5700.00+vat.hardley worth the effort,i since found out from ford ireland that once a car is over 5 years old the timing belt should be changed, this dealer did not change the belt before selling the car i since found this out after i purchased another car from them, when i pointed this out to them at a meeting i had with them recentley and they basicly told me to F.Off, nice people to deal with NOT...... So if there is anyone out planning to buy a car from HARMONSTOWN MOTORS. please think again..and if you do please do an online check for the car you are about to buy from these people,P.S. the second car i foolishly bought from them is going back for repairs 7 weeks and 4000 miles later, i feel like a dope for putting my trust in this establishment.
