Feels like being transported back in time to the prohibition, from gaining access through the buzzer and secret door, to the design layout and feel of the whole place. Not to mention the truly impressive cocktail list and the skill of the bartenders. Top service to match, I ordered an Old fashioned which was not on the list and the bartender whipped me one up and it was fantastic. Not just a cocktail bar, but an experience, try the Absinthe Minded cocktail, it's great.

Gorgeous cocktails in a beautiful, 20s speak easy type setting. They have 3 floors, the first is quite cosy, the second is more formal, and the third, the smoking section, is a bit more of a bustling atmosphere, at least on a Friday night. The staff are very knowledgeable and happy to make recommendations, even off menu cocktails. I love bringing out of town visitors here, and popping in on special occasions!

Really great cocktail place. You should book for sit down dinner which we missed. The roof top is heated though and you can smoke without it being smelly at all because of the fresh air. Cocktails are very good and the menu is long for some original 1800’s cocktail recipe.

Booked this place for a big work group and VCC were a dream! Nancy made everything so easy. We were given our own floor, 2 bartenders, a hostess and because we were coming for the late sitting they kept the kitchen open too! The staff were extremely friendly (shout out to Rich, Jake and Alex) and my group loved the place. Great for candlelit dinners and sophisticated after work drinks. Also the music level is perfect! No shouting to have a conversation required.

Went there last summer and made a booking in advance for cocktails and nibbles. The food was nice but nothing spectacular. The cocktails however were excellent and the service was very attentive. The day we went was a warm day and downstairs the place was boiling! It really needed AC or even a few fans but sure that was probably one of seven hot days the whole year so it's not a problem most of the time I'm sure. Highly recommend this place but book ahead and prepare to spend some money and get lovely and tipsy.
