::Having been to Wax in the City on 2 previous occasions, my initial experiences were great and I raved about the place to my friends. I was particularly impressed about how quick and painless the waxes were. However, at my most recent wax my opinion was completely changed. I repeatedly told the girl that the wax was too hot only to be told, oh it will cool down once spread. Having had countless waxes over the years, I can honestly say I have never felt this uncomfortable with really hot wax. It felt like it was burning my skin and even though I said it 3 times to the girl, she just continued on. The heat of the wax was the least of my problems though, the absolute pain of her waxing me was unbearable. I felt like she had a vendetta against my lady garden and tried to punish it through painful waxing! Even as a girl with very little hair down there as it is, I am used to Wax in the City waxing each area twice but this girl waxed the same red raw areas 3 or 4 times each. 24 hours later I am still sore to touch and have red painful lumps everywhere which I never have after waxes, including after previous waxes at Wax in the City. I told the receptionist when I was paying about the heat of the wax also but it was sort of shrugged off. Very sad to say I won't be returning to Wax in the City.
