  Nice hotel, place kept fresh and clean. Can't comment on the rooms as I did not stay overnight. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Good pint and good food. Highly recommended.

  Friendly staff. Good rooms. Dinner food is quite delicious at a good price. Yes, it is a short drive from Westport but you get to enjoy a quiet rest. I'll go back.

  So this would appear to be a family run hotel based on the staff members. Child labour and all that, but in the sweetest way possible. It's a fair distance from Westport though, you'll need a taxi to go to the town of you want a beer or a glass of wine. There is no restaurant per se, more like a bar food menu. In fairness, the food was excellent and the staff are lovely. Rooms above average. Hotel did feel a little homely rather than professional as evidenced by breakfast the next morning. Also felt the room rate was too high. Please note that any reference to being under the shadow of Croagh Patrick would only be accurate is Mt Everest was the second highest mountain in the world. It's fine, but you can do better.
