  Got my three bridesmaid dresses from Berketex in Jervis Street shopping centre last week and they are perfect. Roisin in eggplant. I ordered late and the girls went the extra mile and ensured the order was in on time. Thanks for all your assistance.

  To all the women thinking of buying their dress from this shop i would read all the reviews fist !!!(which i did not and now regret deeply). I was not giving the proper information when ordering my dress so when it came in and i was told that it could of had a corset back instead of a zip I was very annoyed as i was not told this. The girl that i delt with on the second visit was Ashley and she was lovely and very helpful. I feel i was not giving the whole information on the ordering process! so when i was told that there would be a further charge i said "No im not paying anymore" The manager at the time said she would contact head office and let me Know if there was anything they could do; so imagine my surprise when a month later they rang to say the dress was still there and after 4 weeks they finally got back to me to say there was nothing they would do for me( I thought the dress had gone back and i was getting the corset back on it) (No communication what so ever from the shop or the Company) When Ashley rang to inform of this i asked to speak to a manager and surprise surprised the manager had left and they had not replaced her to date( Id say the poor girl was traumatized by all the complaints and poor decisions made from this company)I felt the whole experience has ruined what should of been a very special day.

  Went in to Berketex in March of 2014, with an aunt to view a couple of dresses. I tried on a couple of dresses, and found one I absolutely fell in love with. I felt like a princess it was an incredible feeling. It was slightly out of my price range (by just a couple of hundred) but I decided that I would stretch to it because I loved it so much. The sales girl (can't remember her name now), was most accommodating and helpful UNTIL she realised I wasn't going to be able to afford their HEFTY deposit there and then. I explained that I would have it, in full, by the following week. The manager seemed to get involved and we came to an agreement. We were all happy and I left the store excited. The following week, I phoned and spoke to the same salesperson once again, and told her I would be arriving later that morning, with my deposit. However.. it was then that she informed me that actually... they would be needing a FURTHER PAYMENT on the dress now.?! No real explanation as to why. I was devastated. Again, I felt I would stretch the budget a bit as I loved the dress so much. I tried to work out a payment plan with them (for after the deposit was paid), to pay the rest and they weren't interested. It was a case of 'No actually we want all the money now'. They basically lost a customer because I was €150 short, and weren't willing to give me an extra two weeks to get the money together. I had already stretched my budget for this and €150 was their deal breaker?! And I would've paid it too. The attitude of the staff leaves a lot to be desired, they only care about making money and putting pressure on customers. I eventually found another dress I loved for a fraction of the price at the Bridal Outlet in Baldoyle. The staff were friendly, helpful and not once was there pressure for money and gave helpful advice. Berketex need to take a page from their book. I would absolutely not recommend Berketex to anyone!! Reading all of the bad reviews now I'm not at all surprised. And it seems to be an issue in the UK branches also.

  I had a fabulous experience here. Some really beautiful and unique dresses. The girl I had deal with me was so lovely and helpful, and really good at choosing dresses to suit my style and figure. I felt welcome and at ease, and the experience really heartened me after a pretty bad comparable experience! I'm sad to see the other negative reviews here, because I really loved Berketex.

  There's no denying there are some lovely dresses in store, however our experience with the staff left a lot to be desired. We walked in without an appointment and were told an appointment could be made to try on dresses. I explained that, unfortunately, since I live abroad for work, there was no point in booking an appointment since it could be months before I'm home again and I was trying to take advantage of a rare free day with my mother and 2 bridesmaids. The store was empty and there were 2 assistants available. We were in the store for about 25 minutes, but no other customers came in. My sister found a dress she thought I'd like and asked if I could try it on since we were there and the store wasn't busy. The assistant she asked (who was busy cleaning the mirrors) said consultations were by appointment only and when we pressed the matter said she could check if it would be alright for me to try on the dress. Once we were given the go ahead, my mother helped me into the dress and while the assistant (the task of mirror clean now abandoned) stood to the side. No stylistic advice was offered, and it was up to me and my bridesmaids to assess the outfit and ask for extras such as belts or veils to be requested. Maybe these services are only offered to customers who book a consultation... We left feeling like an unwelcome nuisance, which, given that we were the only customers in a half hour period, is baffling. I would be extremely reticent to return to Berketex Bride to buy my wedding dress. Frankly, for purchases of over €3,000, I would expect excellent customer service and a warm atmosphere to come as standard.
