  Taking more than week to book an appointment for my wife with Dr. Deirdre O’Donovan Also, each time my wife called (as no call back is made as promised) the secretary Barbara seem to be very busy or once she was very tired to book an appointment, say what? My wife is in need of urgent appointment as the issue is getting worse. We expected the best customer service and standards from a prestigious clinic as the Blackrock Clinic...

  Appalling service when trying to book an appointment with a Gastroenterologist. First, the secretary needed a letter of referral beforehand, which I provided by email, then the Doctor hadn't seen the letter, also needed the details of my last exams... All of these was requested in separate telephone calls for over a week!!! And the best of all: - "I cannot book an appointment just now, as I am busy!" I wonder what makes this secretary busy for me over other patients! Never replied my emails nor called me back as promised... Most importantly, this wasn't for a routine appointment, as I suffer from a chronic condition, which has worsened. I certainly will not spend my money where it isn't welcome! Sadly enough, it isn't the first time that this has happened in private healthcare... I wonder why...

  Went for wisdom teeth surgery. Best medical care that I have received in Ireland so far. The doctors and nurses were very polite and professional. Everything was on time and I was able to leave the hospital after my surgery earlier than expected.

  Saw Ms Kate Coleman for a consultation, she is a consummate professional and an extremely decent person. Would highly recommend.

  Experienced the Blackrock Clinic about a year ago when my partner was taken seriously ill and I took him to their really efficient Emergency Dept, from where he was admitted under the excellent and gentle care of Prof. Mark Laher. From their top consultants, right through medical, nursing, management, counselling, admin, catering and cleaning staff his 7 week stay could not have been made less stressful for us both. Their ethos even follows through to parking charges which are capped at € 30 per week no matter how many visits you make.
