A brilliant tour, performed by two very gifted Actors! I travelled down from Belfast, and it was certainly worth the journey.

Excellent evening ! 2 actors performing the best of Irish literature and accompanied by a great guitarist. Very entertaining. Lovely pubs. Great company. Great tour of the quarter, not only pubs but also the university. Still, definitely enough time to enjoy drinks at every pub. One of the actors even has been in Game of Thrones, the guitarist toured Germany and knows every town. I can't recommend this event enough.

Colm Quilligan is an outstanding actor cum storyteller cum impressionist cum comedian. This has to be the must do tour for anyone spending an evening in Dublin. Don't worry you get plenty of time to drink. But as a bonus you get to hear some wonderful anecdotes and nuggets of information about some of the towering giants of literature produced by Dublin. I like most have only heard and read the usual suspects, but it's always good to learn about some new ones not as popular but probably as significant for Irish literary scene. Colm keeps you occupied for 2.5 hours (and you can set your watch by the start and stop time, very impressed). A couple of younger colleagues join him to act out little dialogues. You get to visit four famous pubs (no spoilers here in terms of names) and enough time to drink and indulge in trivia. His enactment of Oscar Wilde writing about his visit to a Colorado silver mining town in the backdrop of the beautiful Trinity College was a personal favorite of mine. If you like to drink and have even the remotest intererst in literature, this is a must do. Even if you just drink, it's not a bad. And for 13 euro it's a downright steal!

My favorite tour in Dublin. Who can resist great literature, acting, and pubs? Show up at the Duke Pub at 7:00, pay 12€ and have a great time.
