This is a Top Class Professional Bicycle Shop who fitted a Pendix Electric Kit to my bike in July of 2017 and I am writing this review In November 2017. All my interactions with this company were carried out in a prompt efficient and professional manner and I recommend them to any potential customer. The Pendix Electric Kit has performed flawlessly for over 4 months now and I cycle 5 days a week covering about 200 kilometres over mixed terrain. I am surprised that there are not some very positive reviews online already. I did see one or two reviews that were not so positive which surprises me. My experience has been really good and I already had a dedicated Kalkhoff Ebike for 4 years before I decided to buy this kit. In my opinion this Pendix Kit can supply almost as much assistance as the Kalkhoff and some of that may be due to the fact that the converted bike (a Trek Dual Sport) is much lighter. I bought the standard battery with the kit which I find can provide standard assistance for a distance of about 80 Kilometres over mixed terrain on a full charge. There is a further setting to supply more assistance and this really makes me feel like I am flying but I don't use it very much as I assume I could only get half the range from the battery. I did discover early in my testing that there seems to be "sweet" spot for attaining maximum power at between 60 and 70 pedal revolutions and if power drops off a bit it is restored immediately to full power by changing gears to stay within this range. I presume that this is down to the software settings that sense the power input from my cycling.

This shop is a gem! convenient opening hours (they never seem to close!) and run by two of the friendliest and most knowledgable guys you could ever hope to do business with. They take pride in their craft and stand over all their work. If only all business in Ireland were run like this!

I can't rate Dublin Loves Bikes in Dun Laoghaire highly enough. Trumps all other bike stores in the area by a long shot. A professional and friendly service is provided by Joe and Mark who today really went out of their way to look after me. What's more, prices are very reasonable. I recommend DLB to everyone.

Quick introduction: I cycle all my life, everywhere. I am a total, picky pain in ass. I live nowhere close to the shop. I came to it as I was fed up with arrogant treatment in shops in the city. I just got new bike from DLB and I can't praise Joe more for his professionalism and absolute patience with me changing my mind all the time. He advised me a lot, caring for the quality and my comfort first. He put my bike and accessories together in the most handsome and tidy way ever. Ah and prices are reasonable! I will be back for the service and to say hello to the cat:)

I wrecked my chain through changing gears on a hill just before this great shop. Thought I'd have to free wheel (uphill!) home, but I chanced my luck and brought it here (at 20:00 on a sunny Saturday!) They were more than willing to help; and fixed the issue in no time. They didn't even charge anything. This is what a bike shop should be, somewhere you can go if you have issues, a essential service to Dublin. Great place, helped me out greatly, five stars. What all bike shops should be!
