  Lift bike in 26th September 2017 and replaced drailer,brakes then went 2nd time 31st January 2018 and new brakes but did not realine rear wheel the 2nd time what a rep off never going back there again total cost average of a €180

  Good store, plenty of stock! Had to get any service as their is a lack of staff, but when you find them they are helpful and friendly

  On the 16th or 17th of December around 3 pm i visited the store , upstairs in the bike department to see if i could get someone to check my daughters bike that i had built myself her first bike for Christmas. I was waiting in line for 5 - 10 mins, there was only one lady upstairs working, i was third in line to be seen. The store was not busy. When it was my turn I asked the lady if i could see if someone could check my daughters bike (I had the bike in the car, A 3 Year old's bike) to see if the brakes could be fixed and stabilizers checked as i built the bike myself and did not do a good job. The lady at the counter apologized and stated that no one could come and see to the bike and that there was a waiting list to be seen and the next available date for a booking just to see what needs to be done would be on the 27th December and then the bike would then need to be left over a few days for it to be worked on. I understood Christmas time busy time of year. However i went down stairs walking around as i needed to buy a few things for my car and i noticed a few bike boxes Unopened down stairs and an area set up for bikes to be worked on. No body was in the self made bike area working on bikes and any staff that was down the stairs was either tidying up the shelves while having a good, funny conversation to one another on the headpieces they where wearing. Again tho no one was in the self made bike area working on bikes, the store was not busy and no work was being done on bikes. So i left feeling not happy with the Hartford's bike team. A week later i was walking past another bike shop on the 23rd of December called Eurocycles, Euro Baby in Mell's Retail Park in Drogheda (I left them a brilliant review by the way) . I walked in to ask a staff member a question about brakes on a kids bike (As Your staff at Halford's told me i had to wait untill the 27th December to have my bike seen ) and what was amazing is that, this staff member asked me to bring the bike in right then and there, i did not have the bike on me however i went home and got the bike and brought it into store and the staff member rebuilt the bike brake's, stabilizers, aligned the wheels and even put on a basket at the front of the bike all within 20 mins. I was in your halfords store for 20 mins and not one bike was built within this time frame or was there any other staff working on bikes that i could ask a question too as the girl upstairs was not prepared to look at the bike. As a shop that prides itself with there bike sales and upkeep i suggest that during the 2 weeks before Christmas that you have more bike trained staff members on the shop floor helping customers with query's, as not much effort was made to me from a customer service stand point at this date and time while another business was alot more accommodating and have now secured my business for future bike trading. I wish i didn't have to give a 1 star rating on this review however the one star is for the car products that i do buy from the store and now while im writing this im considering also going else where for these items aswell. Management in the store need more bike trained staff working on bikes especially on the lead up to Christmas.
